June 2009 RVC Column (Written 05/09/09, posted 05/25/09) Northwest Passages RVC Column for June Newsletters in Region 8 by John Recht, Region 8 RVC rvc8@us.mensa.org The prospect of discovering a Northwest Passage across North America fired the imagination of many an early explorer and adventurer. During the four years that I have written this column, I have tried to share similar feelings of of excitement and hope as we have journeyed together to find what Mensa has to offer to us. Along the way I have been inspired by all of you, my fellow Mensa members, and I am very grateful to have had this opportunity to help you find whatever is most meaningful and enjoyable in our happy association. Although I am passing the torch of leadership in the region, I expect to continue my journey of discovery in Mensa, and at every stop along the way, as always, I hope to see you there!
